For the both the residential and commercial consumer Increte stamped concrete provides hundreds of natural textures that replicate nature. In fact it is difficult to tell the difference between Increte and the real thing. Increte offers a limitless variety of color combinations, natural textures, long term durability, and aesthetic appeal. It can increase property values and has many advantages over other hardscaping options.
For the contractor it is a value added product in high demand that will increase company revenue and profits.
For the architect and designer it is a hardscape and interior flooring solution that can help create a theme and provide the finishing touch to a project no matter what the budget. Let your imagination be your guide.
In most cases YES. Concrete is considered a renewal and “green” building material and there are several ways Increte can help your project qualify for LEED status.
Increte Color Hardener and Clear Seal render the concrete surface impervious to moisture. Since most concrete problems in the northern climates are due to the fact that concrete is porous, Increte is actually BETTER than plain concrete in these areas.
Stamped concrete is first and foremost, concrete. Meaning anywhere one would use concrete, you can have the Increte system. That means interior as well as exterior surfaces. Whether your project is residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, industrial, municipal/government…even parking lots and roadways, Increte will provide beauty and durability.
While Increte is not recommended for the do-it-yourselfer, if you are a concrete contractor, Increte isn’t difficult to install.
For the base color there are two main options. You may use integral concrete colorants that are mixed with the concrete prior to placement. The second option is a dry-shake color hardener which is broadcast over the still plastic gray concrete after it has been placed. Both of these options have their advantages and while either can be used in most circumstances, there are projects where one method has a clear advantage over the other. Contact your Increte technical rep for recommendations.
For the secondary color, a pigmented release agent is typically used. Increte manufactures two different formulas to meet your exact requirements.
Stamped concrete is sealed with an acrylic clear seal to bring out the color and protect the finish. Increte manufactures an entire line of clear sealers and curing agents engineered specifically for decorative concrete. For the Increte stamped concrete system we always recommend one of our 100% thermoplastic, UV safe, crystal clear acrylic sealers. We have sealers that comply with the many regional and local VOC (solvent) regulations.
While you can find application procedures in the component material tech and data sheets, and in the Increte installation guide, it is recommended that you attend an Increte seminar first. Increte holds these two day hands on classes on a regular basis at its headquarters in Tampa, FL. Once you have the basis down pat, a little practice will make you an expert in no time.
Thincrete was developed because stamped concrete requires a fresh concrete slab to be poured. Thincrete is the answer for all those areas that already have a perfectly good slab of concrete, no matter how old it may be. Think of the money saved by not tearing out your current concrete, only to pour a fresh one.
Engineered with a modified acrylic polymer, Thincrete cures to 6000 psi, roughly double the compressive strength of regular concrete. So, yes, it holds up under any condition.
Whether it is searing desert sun or subfreezing temperatures, Thincrete is not only beautiful but it is also tough, durable, and long lasting.
Increte has over 50 patterns that can be used on Thincrete (and over 100 for stamped concrete). Almost every category of texture is represented…brick, slate, stone, wood plank, and more. Because there 30 standard colors to choose from, AND it is a two color system, there are literally hundreds and hundreds of combinations. Additionally, Thincrete may be stained with Increte’s Staincrete and Stone Essence stains multiplying your choices.
As long as your concrete is structurally sound. Thincrete is a great cover-up. While cracks may reappear, there are repair methods, patterns, and techniques that may be employed to hide and minimize any cracks in your current slab. Check with your Increte contractor for details and options.
As long as you talking about concrete floors, yes, Thincrete is a great choice for interiors. Whether you desire a unique look for a residence, or your project is retail, office, hospitality, industrial, or any other commercial endeavor , Thincrete provides you an almost limitless variety of colors and textures. It is hard to tell the differenc e between Thincrete and natural materials. Also, at ¼” to 3/8” thick, you rarely have to worry about doors, thresholds, and transitions to other flooring materials.
You can pull the tech and data sheets directly from this website. Also, don’t hesitate to call an Increte specialist via our toll free line 800-752-4626. Remember, Thincrete is NOT a do-it-yourself type product and should only be installed by a qualified Increte contractor. Thincrete is one of the many decorative concrete systems taught at our two day training seminar
Any exterior application (it is much too highly textured for most interior applications). And, it is NOT just for pool decks and patios. With a compressive strength of close to 6000 psi, it is almost twice as strong as plain concrete which makes it perfect for anywhere you have concrete…including driveways, commercial applications, even drive throughs and freight docks.
The chemistry is the same, the difference is in how it is colored. Spray Deck uses a pigmented acrylic sealer that provides a one color finished surface. With texturecrete, color is added to the mix (integrally colored) so youend up with multiple colors and the ability to have patterns sprayed over stencils or tape. Check out the photo gallery and you will see many examples of each.
Spray Deck and Texturecrete are engineered for ALL climates, from searing sunbaked deserts to the cold Northern Climates. With its modified acrylic polymer technology, it is better suited for temperature extremes than plain concrete.
No issues at all. Spray Deck and Texturecrete are perfect for vertical surfaces as well as horizontal areas.
Spray Deck is available in 30 standard colors, with custom colors available. With those same 30 colors, Texturecrete offers 900 plus color combinations of grout joints and top coat finishes.
Cover the area with plastic making sure not to leave open areas or wrinkles.
Since Staincrete creates a variegated and marbled look, it is the product of choice for inerior floors. That natural stone look is just as striking on exterior slabs. There are a few colos that aren’t recommended for exteriors due to possible color change, so please check the tech and data sheets or call an Increte tech rep at 800-752-4626 before beginning your project.
While there are only 9 base colors, those colors can be diluted with water and mixed together to achieve an almost limitless variety of shades. The unique Staincrete technology uses metallic chlorides to provide color, not the typical pigments found in other types of stains, dyes, and coatings.
Any glue or grout residue must be removed before the stain is applied. For slabs where the residue cannot be fully removed and ghosting occurs, Increte manufactures microtoppings that result in a “fresh canvas” to apply the stain to. Level Top SP for interiors and Microcretefor either interiors or exteriors will give your concrete a fresh new surface for outstanding results.
Our best recommendation is to wait for a full 28 day cure, but most get great results in as little as 14 days. Always test a small area to determine whether or not to proceed.
The marbling results from the stain reacting with the minerals in the concrete. Staincrete isn’t a film or coating. The raw materials in the concrete mix, how the slab was finished and cured, even the weather and other jobsite conditions play a factor in how the stain reacts with the slab. So, there is no way to ensure an exact look… and that’s the beauty of this product. Every job is a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art. After doing a test area, there are several techniques that one can use to achieve more marbling and variation in the color. These techniques and other best practices are taught in detail at the Increte Decorative Concrete Training Seminar.
Increte produces vinyl stencils in a wide variety of sizes and styles.
